Vintage Guitars Edgewater Has Bought Since June 2026

This is a running log of the vintage guitars Edgewater Guitars has bought from private sellers since June 2026, grouped by the month we bought them. It shows the kind of instruments we buy every week: Fender, Gibson, Martin, Gretsch and Epiphone, original or not. Call or text (440) 219-3607 or text us photos.

What this log shows

Every guitar here was bought from a private seller. Some were clean, original examples. Some were refinished or modded, and we bought those too, at a price that reflected it. We list only the guitar and the month. We do not publish what we paid, who sold it, or where they live.

Where we have written a guide to that model, the name links to it, so you can compare a guitar you own against what we look for.

What these buys have in common

Very few of them were perfect. Refinished Stratocasters, a modded SG Special and a refinished Jazz Bass are on this list next to a mint 1965 Strat. A refinish or a swapped part lowers what a guitar is worth, but it rarely makes it unsellable. We look at what is original, what was changed, and how well it plays, and we tell you what we see.

Most of the guitars are Gibson and Fender from the 1950s and 1960s, with Martin flat-tops, archtops like the L-50 and L-7, and a few basses mixed in. That is the core of what we buy, and we look at other older guitars too. If you are not sure what you have, the serial pages for Fender, Gibson and Martin will help you date it, and our guitar value guide explains what moves the price.

How we buy

You send photos and whatever you know about the guitar. We look at it, ask a few questions, and make an offer. If you take it, we work out payment and pickup or shipping with you.
